This year’s prestigious Lawyer Awards saw SMB’s Crime and Regulatory department recognised as a finalist in the Conduct, Enforcement or Business Crime Team of the Year category, announced yesterday evening.
Headed by partner Phil Smith and supported by senior associate Henrietta Ronson and founding partner Anthony Burton the team enjoyed a busy year dealing cross-jurisdictionally with the US Department of Justice, FBI and IRS and receiving instructions on separate matters from partners in 3 international city firms and respected figures in the worlds of high finance and private wealth.
Partners and joint heads of the Music Department, Richard Baskind and Alasdair George, were featured, alongside Anthony Orum, who was promoted to partner in May last year.
