In this edition:

• The Court of Appeal holds that Barclays Bank is vicariously liable for alleged sexual assaults carried out by a doctor during medical examinations requested by the Bank for job applicants and employees.
• The Environmental Audit Committee has published its report into ‘Heatwaves: adapting to climate change’ which, among the recommendations, calls on the Government to take action to improve working conditions.
• The Government have published an employer toolkit to equip employers with the right tools and information to support EU citizens and their families in using the EU Settlement Scheme.
• A £4.2 million fund to support people with mental health or musculoskeletal conditions to stay in work has been launched by the Department for Work and Pensions and the Department of Health and Social Care.
