Simons Muirhead Burton is pleased to have acted for NuWealth and founder Kane Harrison, in its acquisition by Quilter, a FTSE-250 wealth manager.
With this acquisition, Quilter plans to develop NuWealth to collaborate with advisers in supporting clients at the beginning of their investment journey, who are looking for additional help and guidance.
Speaking on the deal, Partner in our Corporate department, David Martin, said: “In just five years NuWealth has built a real community of loyal users (many of whom invested in the company itself), helping to democratise investment with easy-to-understand low-cost products. Quilter is a little older, with over 250 years of history, but is a great home for the next stage of NuWealth’s journey and we are looking forward to seeing it continue to grow.”
We are delighted to announce that Gordon Clough has been promoted to Partner.
