Earlier this week Senior Associate, John Harrington, and Trainee, Theo Harding, spent a morning at The Soup Kitchen London, our Charity of The Year for 2025.
The SMB team spent half a day preparing food, serving the charity’s guests and once the morning service had concluded cleaning up ahead of the next sitting.
Helping the homeless, the elderly, lonely and vulnerable people in our local neighbourhood, The Soup Kitchen provides free meals, clothing, toiletries and a sense of belonging to almost 200 service users daily.
Additionally, the service recently launched Europe’s first on-site mental health drop-in within a soup kitchen, providing an additional outlet to address its guests’ mental health needs.
Due to the high number of people seeking support from The Soup Kitchen, volunteers form the backbone of charity, ensuring that it can continue its incredible work.
