SMB welcomed Soho Media Club to its office for a networking event which saw professionals across the film, TV and creative industries, join together for an evening of networking and a Q&A panel discussing collaboration, diversity and inclusion in the media industry.
The event saw three prominent industry figures, Poppy Dixon from Sky, SMB’s Managing Partner Razi Mireskandari, and Purminder Gandhu from the BBC take to the stage, to share their career timelines and discuss barriers of race and gender within their respective industries.
Each speaker gave their unique perspectives on calling out injustices, safeguarding creative spaces, and the non-negotiable need for genuine inclusivity and opportunity within every facet of the media industry.
The event comes as part of a wider sponsorship of Soho Media Club, including their ‘Be You’ festival, a 1-day festival designed to spark honest conversation about contemporary challenges within film, TV, music and digital media culture.
SMB’s sponsorship includes a six-month campaign of brand and content exposure, as well as representation on the festival’s steering groups and panel events.
This great achievement marks the second year running in which an SMB client has won this prestigious award, with client Curious Films winning it last year.
