SMB’s Film and TV Team has advised its client 42, the UK/US management and production company (Outside the Wire, Watership Down), on the production, financing and distribution arrangements for its new film Silent Twins.

Simon Goldberg and Blaise Gaymer handled all aspects of the development and production of Silent Twins  including our client’s co-production with Polish partners Madants (High Life) and Ewa Puszczyńska (Ida, Cold War).

Razwana Akram led the finance and distribution arrangements (Focus Features) for the production and was supported by Annika Chauhan and Elinor Gibson.

Silent Twins, a thriller directed by Agnieszka Smoczyńska, is based on the true story of identical twins June and Jennifer Gibbons and stars Letitia Wright (Black Panther, Small Axe) and Tamara Lawrance (On Chesil Beach).

We are excited and proud to have been able to support this project and especially so given the enormous challenges posed throughout by COVID-19.

In April 2021, Focus Features has since taken worldwide rights to Silent Twins who will distribute the film in the US and Universal Pictures International will distribute internationally.

The thriller, as recently at May 26th 2022, was given a glowing review in the Guardian by Peter Bradshaw.
