Lola is a Paralegal within the Civil Team at SMB, primarily working on Post Office claims.
Before joining the firm in January 2026, Lola spent three years as a Research Assistant to a High Court judge, advising on public law, family law, international family law, and human rights. During this time, she additionally contributed to an article published in the International Family Law Journal, advised charities on domestic homicide initiatives, and supported the ongoing work to update Advocate’s Gateway Toolkit 17.
Lola has recently completed the Bar Course with Distinction. Alongside her studies, she undertook extensive pro bono work: assisting refugees with asylum claims and representing the parents of children permanently excluded from school. Through such work, she has gained litigation experience relating to judicial review claims arising from human rights and common law breaches by public authorities.
Lola is a member and scholar of The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple, awarded the Melissa McDermott Scholarship in 2023.
