Rhiannon is a consultant in the Family department. She advises on all areas of private family law including divorce and civil partnership dissolution, financial issues on separation and divorce, children matters, nuptial agreements, parental abduction and cases involving domestic abuse.
Rhiannon has a particular focus on high net worth divorces (supported by her previous experience as a finance lawyer), as well as complex children matters, and is often involved in cases with an international element.
Before joining SMB, Rhiannon trained at a Magic Circle law firm and worked in their Paris office for a number of years as a finance lawyer. She then followed her passion for family law and has worked in the family department at SMB for 9 years, being promoted to Senior Associate in 2019 before becoming a consultant in 2023.
Rhiannon regularly carries out pro-bono work for Rights of Women, and writes for Lexis Nexis as part of their expert panel.
A member of the Franco-British Lawyers Society, Rhiannon is fluent in French and has studied French law, passing the Paris Bar exam in 2014.
