Shahnaz is paralegal in the Commercial department focused on media law.
Shahnaz comes from a finance background, progressing into law and finance in during her Masters’ studies. Her speciality lies in finance and financial regulation/compliance.
This background is complemented by a burgeoning interest in media law, a field she was drawn to not only because of its economic implications, but also due to the profound impact media, especially TV and film, can have on politics and societal narratives.
Beyond her finance-focused studies and roles, Shahnaz led the United Nations’ International Labour organisation’s SIYB program in the Xinjiang regions in China.
Prior to this position, her professional journey was characterized by diverse experiences across various sectors, including leading significant projects for international organizations and contributing to financial and policy strategies in roles that demanded a high level of analytical and strategic thinking.
