Vishal Patel

Vishal is an Associate in the Employment Team.

He advises clients on both contentious and non-contentious matters.

His contentious work primarily involves acting for organisations and companies defending Employment Tribunal claims and High Court litigation. This includes defending claims for unfair dismissal, direct and indirect discrimination, harassment, and whistleblowing.

On the non-contentious side, he advises individuals on matters such as settlement agreements and workplace exits.

Prior to joining Simons Muirhead Burton in July 2026, Vishal progressed from paralegal to trainee solicitor and then solicitor at his previous firm. His earlier experience included working as a paralegal in the Dispute Resolution team, where he completed a seat and subsequently undertaking a double seat in the Employment Law department. This background has given him considerable experience in litigious matters.

Vishal is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
