The Media and Communication Disputes team have been listed as a finalist in Litigation team of the year category at the Lawyer Awards. The ceremony, which will take place in November, will highlight the top deals and cases of the year. The team have been listed for their outstanding work acting for The Sun and Dan Wootton in Depp Vs News Group Newspapers Ltd. Described as ‘the libel trial of the century’ and extensively reported in the press, we are pleased to see the hard work of Louis Charalambous, Jeffrey Smele and Enfys Jenkins recognised as finalists in this year’s line-up. This is the second time that the team have been shortlisted in this category as they previously were recognised for their win for News of the World Group against Andrew Mitchell MP in the ‘plebgate’ libel case.
The winner will be announced at a ceremony in London later this year. Congratulations to the team!
