Dina Shiloh of the Dispute Resolution team was presented with a Justice Award after winning an appeal against a £60,000 fine for her client, STS Commercial Ltd.
STS, which develops software that powers leads for brokers, lenders and marketers, were fined by the Information Commissioner’s Office. On consideration of the appeal the fine against the firm was dropped and a full apology published on the ICO website.
Changes to UK company law mean that certain individuals (including company directors) will soon be required to verify their identity with Companies House (CH).
