SMB’s Family department is delighted to announce a new partnership with Divorce Assent, marking a shift in traditional dispute resolution.
SMB’s Family department has joined Divorce Assent, an all-new partnership which sees twelve firms and chambers come together in order to offer separating couples a streamlined path to financial dispute resolution.
Divorce Assent has been designed to ensure that each member upholds a shared set of rules and values, in a new process which offers significant benefits.
The new process offers clients and their legal representatives an expedited route to a private hearing, which attains the best prospect of an out of court settlement.
Benefits of the new process which SMB has joined include, early neutral evaluation with built in checks and balances, a fixed set of fees and enhanced flexibility, with Assent combining pFDR, court, mediation and arbitration to ensure an optimal process for all parties.
Speaking on the new partnership, Partner and head of SMB’s Family team, Jane McDonagh said: “I’m really happy that SMB were able to be part of this exciting new venture. Well done to Zoe Bloom for spearheading this; we need more of this creative thinking to help clients better.”
