Simons Muirhead Burton LLP have been included in this year’s Spear’s 500, which lists top private client advisors in the fields of wealth, law and services for HNW individuals, as well as achieving top tier rankings in both Chambers and Partners and Legal 500, the world’s leading legal directories.
In Chambers and Partners, Managing Partner Razi Mireskandari has been named as Eminent Practitioner for Defamation and Reputation Management. In addition, Louis Charalambous has received an individual Band 1 ranking, and the Defamation and Reputation Management team have maintained their Band 1 position. Family, Music and Civil Liberties & Human Rights have all seen improvements in their ranks. SMB is ranked in eight practice areas, as well as having 11 individuals ranked in their practice areas. Two associates have been listed as associates to watch.
Legal 500 have also ranked both Louis Charalambous individually, and the Reputation Management team, as Tier 1. The firm has seen a further Tier 1 rank awarded for Crime. This year sees the introduction of the Legal 500 Hall of Fame, a further category awarded for ‘continued excellence’ to those at the ‘pinnacle of their profession’, in which SMB’s Anthony Burton CBE has been listed. Ten additional practice areas are ranked with improvements in rankings for M&A: Up to £50m, Fraud: White Collar Crime, Civil Liberties and Human Rights, Brand Management and Sport. Seven individuals have been ranked and four listed as associates to watch.
Spear’s 500 has listed Phil Smith as Outstanding in Field for Crisis Management. In addition, three have been listed as Distinguished Individuals: Mark Levine for Hospitality, Leisure and Retail; Razi Mireskandari for Dispute Resolution; and Jane McDonagh for Matrimonial Finance, Children’s Law.
