Sarah is a partner in the Family team. She has significant experience in all aspects of family law, in particular, divorce and high-value financial cases often involving complex aspects including corporate issues and international issues. She has a special interest in dealing with intervenor disputes involving third parties and enjoys the analytical and challenging nature of such claims. Sarah dealt with the reported case of R v R [2012] a case involving assets of £13M concerning contributions and company valuations.
Sarah is a leading children’s practitioner, and is recommended as a Tier 2 Children’s Practitioner in Chambers UK 2026 in London. She regularly advises clients on complex children disputes often where parents have made serious allegations against each other and involving Finding of Fact hearings. These cases can be challenging for clients emotionally and Sarah appreciates the need to deal with them discreetly and sensitively.
Sarah regularly acts for a broad range of clients including entrepreneurs, sports stars and those in the entertainment industry, doctors, executives and homemakers.
Sarah joined SMB in June 2023 from a leading London family law firm where she was a Partner. Sarah qualified in 2010 albeit she has worked in family law for over 20 years. Sarah is a committee member of the Family Law Language Group, a group aimed at reducing animosity and conflict in family law. She was also Chair of CILEx London Group for 5 years and is committed to mentoring and encouraging young lawyers.
