• An ET awards £35,000 after finding a pregnant employee had been unfairly dismissed for a proposal that she should no longer work in excess of 48 hours per week on average because of her pregnancy.
• The BEIS have announced plans for new legislation to tackle the misuse of Non-Disclosure Agreements, also known as confidentiality clauses, in the workplace, including those being used to cover up harassment.
• The Government is consulting on proposed new rights and extra protections for flexible workers if they lose out on work as part of advancing their Good Work Plan announced in December 2018.
• The Ministry of Justice has announced that ex-offenders wanting to turn their lives around through work will be backed by new legislation changing what they must disclose to employers.
