Ewan jointly heads the Employment Team. He advises on all aspects of employment law with particular expertise in assisting clients through large scale or complex change in the workplace. This includes advising on TUPE transfers, redundancies, collective consultation, business restructures and contract variations.
Ewan is extremely experienced in advising on senior management disputes; including in matters of unlawful discrimination, whistleblowing and data protection. Ewan is also frequently called upon to advise on the enforceability of restrictive covenants in matters of staff poaching. In addition, Ewan regularly guides clients through the employment aspects of corporate transactions including sale and purchases, management buyouts and third party investment.
Ewan’s practice spans matters of both contentious and non-contentious employment law and encompasses clients in the public, private and not for profit sectors. Ewan’s clients include start-ups through to large multinationals.
Ewan provides strategic advice at board level as well as delivering practical advice for senior management implementation.
Ewan is also an accredited mediator and is passionate about creating and delivering bespoke training programmes, whether direct to clients’ staff or on a “teach the teacher” basis.
