SMB’s Corporate Team is very pleased to have advised the Winklevoss Capital Fund, an investment vehicle owned ultimately by Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, on its $4.5m investment into Real Bedford FC in a deal which drew press coverage from The Times, Sky Sports news, DailyMail.com, The Sun, talkSPORT and many others.
The team is delighted for all parties involved, especially our client, Winklevoss Capital Fund, who we really enjoyed working alongside.
The SMB deal team consisted of Simon Goldberg, client partner, Rob Hepburn who ran the deal day-to-day with support from Jenny Constable, and Ewan Keen and Amy Pertwee on the employment side.
It demonstrates once again the strength of SMB’s thriving Corporate and Sports practice.
On 14 March, SMB was instructed by former postmaster, Lee Castleton OBE, to issue proceedings in the High Court against the Post Office and Fujitsu.
