SMB Announces the Motor Neurone Disease Association as its Charity of the Year 2024.
SMB is thrilled to announce we have chosen the Motor Neurone Disease Association as our Charity of the Year 2024. As well as helping to raise vital funds for the charity we will be working through the year to raise awareness of the amazing work they do.
Motor neurone disease (MND) affects the nerves found in the brain and spinal cord, which help tell your muscles what to do. Sufferers will experience reduced mobility and negative health impacts.
Not only does the Motor Neurone Disease Association fund research into the disease, but they also provide carers and support for people with MND and their families.
Over the year, staff at SMB will engage in a multitude of extracurricular activities and donation led experiences to generate funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
We will provide regular insights on our fundraising activities and ways to donate on our LinkedIn and news page, so please follow us to track our progress through the year. Our JustGiving page is now live.
Senior Associate and head of SMB’s Corporate Social Responsibility group, John Harrington, said: “Having seen the impact MND can have and speaking to colleagues who have experienced this first hand I am delighted that we are able to work with the Motor Neurone Disease Association in 2024 to help make a difference. There are already a few exciting fundraising opportunities in the pipeline, so I am hopeful for a successful year!”
