The Tech, IP and Digital Rights team at SMB worked alongside Watson Farley & Williams (WFW) in providing specialist technology advice for the purchase of a majority stake in FinTech firm Commcise by Euronext, the leading pan-European stock exchange operator.
Euronext have acquired 78% of the capital of London-based Commcise, a Software as a Service (SaaS) provider of solutions for financial services. Acquiring Commcise’s cloud-based research commission software was a key driver of the deal, so the transaction required specialist SaaS, FinTech, Intellectual Property and Digital Platforms input from our experts.
SMB’s team was led by Partner Neal Hodges, supported by Senior Associate Raoul Lumb and Associate Ben Ifrah. The deal was valued at £27m and completed in December 2018.
