The line-up for the 75th Cannes Film Festival has been revealed and we are thrilled that our client 42’s film The Silent Twins has been selected to compete in the festival’s “Un Certain Regard” section. Part of the Official Selection, this category focuses on works that have an original aim and aesthetic and particularly recognises young directors.
The Silent Twins, a UK-Polish co-production directed by Agnieszka Smoczyńska, is based on the true story of identical twins June and Jennifer Gibbons and stars Letitia Wright (Black Panther, Small Axe) and Tamara Lawrance (On Chesil Beach).
Partner Simon Goldberg and Senior Associate Blaise Gaymer advised the producer 42 on the development and production of The Silent Twins, and Partner Razwana Akram led on the finance and distribution arrangements, with support from Associate Annika Chauhan and Trainee Elinor Gibson.
This is a fantastic project to have worked on and we are excited and proud to have been able to support our wonderful client on this film. Congratulations and good luck to all involved!
