SMB advises on sale of popular sports news aggregator to French buyer
SMB has advised the seller, Sports Mole Ltd, on the sale of its website to French buyer North Star Network.
The team was led by Partner and co-head of our media team, Simon Goldberg, alongside commercial and tech team Partner Marlon Cohen, and Yasma Qirreh from the corporate team.
The website is a market leading news aggregator for football news, and other general sports topics, which attracts a significant global audience.
Speaking about the deal, seller and joint owner of the Sports Mole Ltd Alan Jay said:

“There were timing issues that we needed to overcome and the sale agreement had to contain complex language to ensure that the Website could be smoothly migrated and integrated by buyer North Star Network.
