SMB has advised the seller, Sports Mole Ltd, on the sale of its website to French buyer North Star Network.
The team was led by Partner and co-head of our media team, Simon Goldberg, alongside commercial and tech team Partner Marlon Cohen, and Yasma Qirreh from the corporate team.
The website is a market leading news aggregator for football news, and other general sports topics, which attracts a significant global audience.
Speaking about the deal, seller and joint owner of the Sports Mole Ltd Alan Jay said:
“As ever, I was very impressed by the SMB team who helped us navigate smoothy through some choppy waters to get the deal concluded.
“There were timing issues that we needed to overcome and the sale agreement had to contain complex language to ensure that the Website could be smoothly migrated and integrated by buyer North Star Network.
“SMB are commercial, efficient, and friendly, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them as lawyers on transactions such as this.”
We are delighted to announce that Corporate partner, David Martin, and associate Tim Graham completed the London Marathon last week, raising money for two charitable causes.
